The Moon Going Through My Body – Menstrual Pain Visualization

Menstrual pain is commonly acknowledged as discomfort, but for those who haven't experienced it, the true sensation is difficult to imagine. To bridge this gap, I created a series of 2.5D visual posters that depict the different types of menstrual pain. I then assembled these individual pieces into a large infographic, offering a comprehensive and impactful representation of the experience.
By visualizing menstrual pain, this project aims to foster empathy and understanding, while celebrating the strength embedded in the menstrual cycle.

To further enrich the project, I designed a booklet titled The Moon Going Through My Body, which poetically expresses the sensations of menstrual pain. The booklet highlights how menstruation is not merely a symbol of weakness but also of strength, resilience, and the unique power women demonstrate throughout their cycles.

Key Features:

  • 2.5D Posters: Visual representations of various forms of menstrual pain, giving shape and texture to an otherwise intangible experience.

  • Infographic: A large-scale compilation of all the posters, creating a striking and cohesive visual narrative.

  • Booklet: A poetic exploration of menstrual pain, shifting the perception from weakness to a testament of resilience.
